Chicago Academy for the Arts

No Chicagoland high school is as experienced as the Chicago Academy for the Arts at providing the in-depth training and attention that creative young students require. That is why many families know CAA is worth the commute!

From the Chicago suburbs to Indiana and Wisconsin; over half of CAA's student body commutes from outside the city of Chicago. Like all of our students, our commuters add to the rich diversity and strong community of learners at CAA.

CAA aims to make its education accessible to outstanding students everywhere; therefore, CAA offers transportation services to and from school from the following Metra stations: Union, Ogilvie, Van Buren and La Salle. If you would like to learn more about the ease of commuting, please contact the Admissions Office at 312.421.0202.

“It was more than a little daunting the first time our son got on the train and waved goodbye to make his daily commute to his new downtown high school. I asked myself, ‘what if he gets off at the wrong stop, or forgets a book or his lunch?’ I witnessed a metamorphosis in my son, a new level of maturity and responsibility that seemed to emerge over night. I quickly realized that the daily travels with likeminded, impassioned, creative kids were not just a way to get to school, but an essential part of the CAA experience.”
